While not definitively identified, this is most likely a sharpear Enope squid (Ancistrocherius lesueurii) (~1cm total length). Highly reactive to my lights, it immediately started bolting straight down to the abyss, allowing me less than a minute to shoot before hitting over 100′ deep, where I aborted the effort.
