LOCATION: Turks & Caicos
STORY: “Shooting underwater in the Turks & Caicos nearly every day for 7 years gave me the opportunity to get to know the reef’s local residents. This one had become quite chill with me over the years, and let me swim alongside him until my tank was empty. To add an interesting element of composition and a 3-D pop, I used my signature style of long exposure and camera movement. The Smithsonian honored me by exhibiting it in the Natural History Museum in Washington D.C.” – Gug
