LOCATION: Papua New Guinea
STORY BEHIND THE SHOT: The original photograph that is multiplied to create Reflections 2 is of a gorgonian sea fan, approximately 5 feet across. Using a fisheye lens from within the folds of it’s branches, I aimed to create a 3-D effect, contrasting the reds of the coral against the blues of the water behind. Notice the few black crinoid starfish gripping the gorgonian’s branches, and just a few green chromis and anthias fish.
TO PURCHASE REFLECTIONS AS A FINE ART PRINT ON ALUMINUM: Reflections are generally best kept in their original 3:2 aspect ratio. They are easily rotated 90-degrees to use as a vertical, but please notify our design team while ordering if you plan to hang it vertically so it can be signed & numbered on the correct side, and we arrange the correct hanging hardware for you.
