Description
LOCATION: Maldives
STORY: A photograph of…… well….. absolutely nothing.
As a photographer, my brain is drawn just as much to graphic elements as it is to a pretty patch of coral or a toothy shark. And sometimes, a quiet simplicity is far more powerful than the raucous colors that jump off the page of a reefscape. I’ll never stop creating vibrant, energetic pieces, but so much of the ocean is more akin to a desert than a rainforest – and there’s a certain beauty to that. It took a few years of searching to find just the right clarity, just the right sand ripples, and just the right cloudless weather conditions, but barely 5 meters off the beach of this one particular secluded and uninhabited island in the Maldives, all the key elements lined up, and it was pure magic.
